Public courses in San Diego


Balboa Park Golf Course


Balboa Park Golf Course
can be found at 2600 Golf Course Drive. This course is open to any San Diego City resident with a resident ID card for up to $35 per game on weekdays and $43 on weekends and to non-residents for a higher fee. Tee times can be booked online after residents log in. The course is a par-72 across 6,281 yards and offers an 18-hole and 9-hole option for gameplay.

Colina Park Golf Course


Colina Park Golf Course
is located at 4085 52nd Street. The course has been open for over a quarter of a century and is happy to be home to Pro Kids, First Tee - San Diego, which provides financial support to local youth programs serving over 1,500 kids annually. Tee times can be reserved online or by phone at 619-255-4425. The course also offers disc golf.  Colina Park is perfect for players of all skill levels with a par-3 across 1,250 yards and 18 holes and no more than 110 yards for each hole.


The Loma Club


The Loma Club
is located at 2960 Truxtun Road. This course only offers nine holes and mini golf. Mini golf games do not require reservations, but the nine-hole course allows tee times to be booked online. The Loma Club has been around for over a century!


Mission Bay Golf Course


Mission Bay Golf Course
can be found at 2702 N Mission Bay Drive. This public 18-hole course covers 2,706 yards with a par of 58. Originally opened in 1955, the course offers snacks, carts, clubs, pull-carts for rent, and employs a teaching pro.


Mission Trails Golf Course


Mission Trails Golf Course
is located at 7380 Golfcrest Place. Covering 6,000 yards with a par of 71, this course is perfect for golfers of all skill levels. Its claim to fame is having hosted Tiger Woods for his OptimiStreet Junior World Championship win in 1990.

Oaks North has been serving the public for over 50 years. Junior golfers and pros alike enjoy this course and its practice facilities, pro shop, instruction clinics, and lesson programs. Presidio Hills Golf Course


Presidio Hills Golf Course
is located at 4136 Wallace Street. The course welcomes players for a low cost of $10-$12 max, depending on weekday and age. It also offers club rental and a lower charge for replaying the course on the same day.


Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort


Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort
can be found at Bernardo Oaks Drive. This 18-hole course is championship caliber and has hosted LPGA and PGA events since 1964. The course is a walkable 6,587 yards but has a limited number of carts available for rent. Tee times can be booked online.

Riverwalk Golf Course


Riverwalk Golf Course is located at 1150 Fashion Valley Road #1102. The 18-hole course has a par of 72 and is considered one of the most fun courses by local golfers. Riverwalk offers instruction by teaching professionals for juniors and adults alike, a clubhouse with a pro shop and dining, and event space available for rent.


Tecolote Canyon Golf Course


Tecolote Canyon Golf Course can be found at 2755 Snead Ave. The course offers hazard challenges at each hole across its 3,161 yards. Guests can join the player's club for $44.98 per month, which provides balls and reduced green fees. Tee times can be reserved online.

Bernardo Heights Country Club


Bernardo Heights Country Club is located at 16066 Bernardo Heights Parkway. This championship golf course has a par of 72, a clubhouse with fine dining, and practice facilities that have been rated as one of the best in the area. Membership inquiries may be submitted online.


The Grand Golf Club


The Grand Golf Club

San Diego Country Club


San Diego Country Club
can be found at 88 L Street in nearby Chula Vista, about 13 miles from downtown San Diego. This club opened 125 years ago, in 1897. The championship course has 18 holes and welcomes golfers of all skill levels. The club has a staff of teaching professionals happy to offer lessons to beginners and golfers of all levels aiming to improve their play.

Military golf courses


Admiral Baker Golf Course


Admiral Baker Golf Course
is located at 2400 Admiral Baker Road #3604. This golf course offers two courses of 18 holes each, a pro shop, a short gameplay space, and clinics and lessons. Guests are invited to dine at the River's Edge restaurant before or after their tee time. The course is open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.


MCAS Miramar Memorial Golf Course


MCAS Miramar Memorial Golf Course
can be found at 3750 Anderson Avenue. Miramar Memorial GC welcomes active duty, retirees, Department of Defense (DoD) employees, and civilians to enjoy a game at their 18-hole course. Tee times may be reserved online or by phone at 858-307-4155. Rates and timelines for reservation booking vary by military status. Active Duty and Retired Military golfers can make reservations up to 8 days early, while DoD and the general public can make reservations up to a week in advance.
